hello J_bee ... sorry to bother you again. she was running fine for the past few days but today she died on me with the following symptoms:
it was as thow she was running out of gas, backfired and just didn't get anymore fuel. after bringing her home on a trailer I started her with no problems but died again after a few seconds. Tank is 3/4 full. I can hear the fuel pump but it is not the wealing sound as before. Maybe a hint
can you give me an idea what problem this is and how to solve it.
Is there anyone out there who had same trouble ?
Thanks Robby
The in tank fuel lines will develop small pins holes from rubbing/vibration. You may have to replace the the hoses.
Still sounds like a fuel pressure issue. You changed the hoses and fuel filter. I'd go back in there and make sure everything is on right. I had similar issue and it was the fuel pressure regulator that was not completely in the housing.
I had the problem you are describing after switching fuel lines inside the tank. One of the clamps was not tight and the line was slowly working itself away from the regulator. The bike would start and run, but would sputter if I gave it gas.
You started a new thread to solve the same issue when there are plenty of suggestions here for you to look at. If you cant re-check your work from changing fuel filter and check valve, sounds like you need to bring to dealership or your local mechanic.
