I personally like the change on the Deluxe,I think they are trying to differentiate and personalize the lineup.
Think Art Deco for Deluxe. The one thing I CANT stand is that they put LED lights on all the bikes but left the old round incandescent turn signals! You spent how much money redesigning headlights and stopped at the BLINKERS!?

That said, a 114" Heritage is under 21k for the two main color choices and under 21.3k overall. That's a helluva a lot of bike IMO for that price compared to the Touring models and what you got in previous years. if you like blacked out, you barely have to change anything on the new Heritage and can get a ton of displacement and power right out of the shoot.

I also understand why HD did this and in time we will all come to understand and possibly appreciate some aspects of it. They couldn't continue to refine the Touring lineup without addressing the Softy's and Dyna's at some point.
I was going by what the MOCO website said on specifications and it did not list cruise on the deluxe but said it was standard on the heritage. I agree you are getting a hell of a bike with the 114". I will be checking one out when the hit the dealer floor.

so change it! stop bxtching! bigger tanks will appear or you can swap from one of the tanks on the larger tanks on other "softail 2.0" models..... were you planning on buying a 2018 anyway? or are you all just raging?

i had to have wheels MADE because i hated the stock wide glide set up (skinny tire/single disk). the wheels i paid ~$2400 for are nearly identical (breakouts still single disk, boo) to what comes stock on the 2018 breakouts. i didn't like it so i changed it.

I think the new bikes are perfect for the "new riders' who will buy them. It will set them into a league of their own where they belong.

You were never a new rider?

I don't care much for the change either but hell, it's business. We old farts can't keep them floating forever.

I have had 2 newer (2012 and 2016) Heritage Classic and they both rode like crap IMO. I think the new bikes look very good and the improvements on the frame and the motor will maker them big sellers. I find it funny all the people complaining about the 18's and all we have seen are pics.. I bet they look much better in person..I have a 2017 Road King Special and there is a night and day difference from the M8 vs the 103.

I also agree, the people that think the pre 18 Heritage is going up in value are nuts. There are a million of them out there for sale on the used market. That drives the new prices down..

I applaud the MOCO for trying to modernize the Harley line. If people don't like the new bikes, don't buy one.. Its pretty simple..
