Wow Hammer - that speedo/tach combo looks great. I haven't seen that one before. What's the part number on it?
To both Hammer and XTrooper (and anyone else that has one), how do you like the speedo/tach combo? Are both gages easy to see while zipping along? What's your recommendations on this? Get the combo gage, or a separate handlebar mounted tach?

A blind monkey who has had too much to drink can install it.
If you just take your dash off it will be unplug one and plug one back in from there.
It does have the 6th gear indicator....and all other lights....just no clock.

It is nice that it has everything the stock speedo has except the clock (oh well)... ok next blind monkey question. How to take off dash? I am sure I will find it in my service manual I have, but just asking if there is anything to be worried about other then scratching the gas tank paint. I will also use some diaelectric grease on the connector while I am in there...
thanks for any tips... I guess I could update the tank bib while I have the dash off...

Installation is the reverse of removal.

RE: Speedo/ Tach combo
Just bolted on my Thundermax Digital Speedometer / Tach. Only took about 10 minutes and was pretty easy. Did notice a few things that it does NOT have.
Clock
Second Trip Meter
6th Gear Light
Engine Light (Light that comes on if there is a problem)
Security System Light (Red light that flashes to show alarm is armed)
BUT it does have a whole HEAP of extra bits and pieces. Whilst I was able to change the speedometer from MPH to km/h (for Australia), I noticed that everything else seems still to be calculated in MILES and GALLONS. Anybody in a country using the metric system may want to consider this before purchasing. I was unaware of this and assumed that when you changed it to km/h that everything else would convert to km and litres.
Anyway, here is a pic.
Regards,
DeanO
