Did notice a few things that it does NOT have.

Clock
Second Trip Meter
6th Gear Light
Engine Light (Light that comes on if there is a problem)
Security System Light (Red light that flashes to show alarm is armed)

Regards,
DeanO
Nice look. not my style and the missing items you mention are deal breakers to me. As I have the factory sec system and 6 speed transmission. but I think your unit does give you gear indicator so you can see all 6 gears after you program it while riding.

It doesn't surprise me that you pay almost $500 for the Harley tach speedo combo gauge and you loose the clock. The clock is also important to me. I would have gotten one by now if it retained the clock.

A nice option for a clock on the bike is the formotion trigger. They were designed by Matt Hotch. I just got one for the Bday from the GF. Nice quality. Bolts to the handlebars, available in 10 different faces. (think of it as a watch for your bike). They also just dropped the price to around $100 shipped direct from them.I will post a pic when I get home.

interesting a Citizen watch in a stainless steel housing mount. Curious to see what it looks like on your bike. all the pics online just show the watch.

Hey Vertigo!

Yeah I was kinda considering the brushed aluminium one from HD. If I get sick of this one I will probably change it... I'll see how I GEL with this one? Maybe it's just me but it looks like it isn't aligned 100% rotation-wise. As far as I could see it can only sit the way it sits and there is no room to twise clockwise or anti-clockwise since it is kinda keyed to sit just one way.

Anyway the MAIN thing is ... I now have my accutronix stuff !! WOOHOO!! That will be my project for the weekend. Also got my hypercharger sitting here. Might get the local stealer to do that for me on Thursday but think I will do the forward controls myself. Do you have any more closeup pics of how you mounted that Russell brakeline on your bike? I am guessing that will be the hardest part of the job. Also I have to get some brake fluid before the weekend. Is there any special type I have to get?

DeanO

PS: When you getting a set of those gas caps?

No I think it is the Kuryakyn or Dakota Digital one you are thinking of. This doesn't have gear indicator. As for the security light, not that fussed about that bit as I like the fact they can't see that the bike has an alarm and may therefor be less cautious if trying to steal it and therefor get startled and take off etc. Then again you could argue that with it they might not even try...

Main thing I wanted was speedo and tach so I have that now anyway.

Weird thing about this speedo is you can set the odometer to whatever you like as many times as you like which kinda surprised me. I usually where a watch so not fussed about a clock but the lack of an engine light could be a problem. I will pull off one of the o2 eliminators on the weekend and see what happens. Perhaps instead of a light it simply SPELLS something out on the dash? Not sure but will check in any case.

Guess what the UPS guy just delivered at my desk !

Looks truely plug and play. Just the one acorn nut to remove the dash. unscrew the reset button, remove and replace then reinstall dash and torque to 80 to 100 nm. sweet cant wait to get home.

I can be descriptive on how to run it....

From the back Caliper.. run it through the built in hooks on the swing arm, up around the hump to that built in hook, then down to where the TEE will sit, which will be on the frame right above the shocks, then the long stretch of brake line will run along the frame up to the new master cylinder on your forward controls. Use dot5..

When taking off the old hard line be careful because it is dot4 fluid...

Only pic I have right now is the Tee with the sensor hooked up to it.. its sorta a bad picture but here:
