Default Speakers for FLSTC

I have a Softail Heritage Classic with Vance and Hines (stage 1) and I would like to have speakers mounted on my handlebars in order to hear my music (Bluetooth from phone). I have tried a variety of ear plugs/phones with less than satisfactory results. I am aware of the Boom! Audio Cruiser Amp and Speaker Kit supplied by Harley but are there cheaper/better ones available? Is it necessary to get 1000W speakers or amps? Thanks Aidan

I have this on mine and love it. Looks like a tool bag on the bars and sounds good. Not perfect...but for me it was $ well spent.

Pete, whats the sound like at 70 MPH? Also, like your back rest, where did you get it from? Cheers, Aidan

Take a look at, https://www.recklessmotorcycles.com/rockhoodz.html rockhoodz Windshield mounted stereo systems. Kind of interesting.

I know you already tried a variety of ear buds, but I do highly recommend going the Bluetooth route vs handlebar speakers. I've tried a few speakers over the years from boom to aftermarket and never felt they keep up well with wind noise.

I swear by the jaybird x3 if you go for ear buds because they have an app that can reprogram the sound. Really awesome to pull out harder to hear frequencies. But the key is to get a set of comply foam tips. They usually choosy about 20 bucks for 3 sets, but totally worth it. Their passive noise cancellation is phenomenal and pull away a lot of the wind noise shock had saved my hearing in recent years.

I like that RockHoodz jkinner posted....I've looked at them before....there's a generic style on ebay either already fitted with a radio or a blank box for you set up. I bought a stock HD windshield for trying this set up.

I have a windshield and I hear it at 70. I listen to classic rock and I LOVE my Soundbar. The backrest is from Grasshopper. Also a great investment My pipes are V&H true duals.

I've seen the backrests in Grasshopper - I'll revisit it shortly. I'm tempted by the Soundbar now!
