Hey All,
i did a search but couldnt find a similar problem.
I have a 2012 Softail deluxe that has been stored for a few years. My problem is that when I turn on the ignition the fuel pump does not initiate and turn on. The bike tours over but obviously will not start.
Here is what Ive found so far when I opened the tank top plate:
the plastic fuel line inside (PN 62189-02) the tank to the fitting on the bottom left of the tank was broken. I replaced tis with a rubber fuel tube.
Then I noticed that the ROV to top plate tube (PN 62143-11) was also broken. I ordered a replacement today and should have it later this week.
My my questions are: would those lines cause the pump not to turn on because the lake of pressure? Is it likely the pump is also bad and Sould I replace the pump also?
The pump should run on its own, regardless of whether it has lines attached. Make sure you have power to the pump. The relay could be bad or just have poor connections.
Also look at the run switch connections.

I believe my Softail fuse block only has 3 fuses. 40A Main, 15A Battery, and 15A P&A. From what I've seen on the Google other models have a lot more fuses including a separate fuse for the fuel pump.
Newer bikes have the BCU "instead" of fuses and relays... I had a great experience with Quantum Fuel Systems replacement pumps and accessories. Much cheaper than OEM, lifetime warranty and supposedly better quality too...
I replaced all the lines and still a no go, just ordered a new fuel pump. Super frustrated, only 4484 miles on the bike and this is the straw....once it lives again its gone! Sad I put thousands of dollars into customizing it and its a clean ride. I
It seems fuel pumps do this occasionally. I had a similar issue, swapped back the stock tank which was sitting for a few year (incl the pump) and it was just dead and needed to be replaced. Did you get OEM or the Quantum one? Best, niv

I ordered the Quantum pump. Your review and other reviews on the quantum pump is that its much higher quality than the OEM pump. Hopefully it will bring it back to life.

Did you get your bike to work after changing the pump? Or was it one of the fuses? I'm having the same issue.
