Wouldn't that twist the wire and potentially cause it to break?
I am not the poster but replaced the same CPS last Monday. I removed the sensor (one screw) from the motor so I could wiggle it to find the correct wire and connector tie wrapped to the right frame tube almost as far back as the footboard. Moving that sensor won't damage it........its very flexible

Nothing is finished until the bike is tested! Even with 26 degrees today in New York I took a ride with the new Crank Position Sensor. Immediate start up, no issues, rode10 miles, froze my a$$ off but the bike ran perfectly. Mission accomplished
