Girlfriend just bought a 2025 Heritage and being short she has a problem with reaching shifter. Dealer put on a heel toe and still too far of a reach. Any ideas?
Alot of HD dealers have "loaner" seats available to try before you buy.
You might see if she can "try" the HD "Reach" seat that pushes the
rider forward (not sure how far).
I know how she feels with the stock seat I could just reach the toe shifter comfortably if I scooted up just a bit. I put a Corbin seat on my Heritage, they built it 2 inches closer and narrower in the front, it is great. Call them if you are thinking about ordering one, it was no extra to have it made for me as they make them when ordered. I got the classic solo.
Side question, can she reach the jiffy stand to retrieve it when it is down? My wife doesnt have a problem with the shifter on her Heritage, but has a hard time putting down the jiffy and retrieving it. It already has one of the extended things on it with the little ball.
@wolverine91 being in Ontario, shipping is not going to be cheap, but in the long run, she'll have exactly what she wants if you decide to go with Mean City Cycles.
They've done 3 of mine and we're sending the GF's out over the winter. It'll actually be cheaper in the long run, once you start buying different seats. I guarantee her
all day comfort too,
Harley has several seats available for the Heritage, and many dealerships have them there in their store to try out.
I personally went with the Sundowner. It scoots me forward a little, as well as being plush and comfy under my butt for long all day rides.
Coming from a basically Jap bike background, I found the reach to the pedals on my then Road King and now Heritage further forward than I was used to, and initially I really didn't like it. But with time, I've become quite comfortable with reaching forward for either foot pedal. Your girlfriend may find she does to.
These worked perfect for my wife for her 25 Heritage, they are 1” shorter than stock. We also did the Mean City seat mod where he went forward as much as possible and narrowed the front but she still is having some balance issues. Going to be doing the Kodlin lowering kit this winter. Wife is barley 5’1” but wanted a bigger bike after riding her sportster for 15 years and loves the Heritage old school look..
