DIY Cheap Mods

And yep- Hawaii's lame safety check sucks! lol - PS your sig pic is up on Tantalus right?
My 2013 Softail Slim has been pretty much a plan opposite. 90% of my mods have been DIY using largely household hardware and accessories.
Me: I do!
Me: Never have I ever told another man what he did with HIS bike was stupid. That's grounds for [insert action here]
There have definitely been bikes I don't like, and even entire trends but I keep that **** to myself and appreciate their individuality.
Those lights are siq. I went to the link and added them to my wish list. Maybe mama will buy them for me "just because"
Hawaii seems to detest any and all modifications. Period. Even on cars. If you do modifications you have to do a "recon" every time you get inspected witch is EVERY YEAR. Many people want to get here, the ones here can't wait to leave.
One man's trash is another man's treasure.
My 2005 Dyna Superglide custom was all Harley dealership accessories or kuryakyn. By the tim I sold it, it was a bobber.
My 2013 Softail slim is the polar opposite. 90% of my modifications have been hardware store, department store, or recycled and repurposed.
Skeleton hand horn cover made from Target Halloween salad tosser and recycled spanner wrench to form bracket
Lucky 13 house numbers from ACE hardware
Presto extinguisher bracket made from sheet brass and band clamps
$8.00 Men's leather belt tank bib from ROSS and the rest of the leather was used to make a fender bib
Better view
Front bag supports made from window/drawer tension slides.
Last is my favorite DIY, brass allen bolt covers made from water line compression farrals and a dab of superglue
Top view, love the barel look.

The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
Some have added the push in chrome or stainless tips but the get costly quick and I didn't find them necessary.
