I forgot to mention that I ran the wiring all the way back down to the factory T/S harness plug at the neck and soldered directly to the factory terminals then reinstalled them into the factory plug. No chance of a bad connection or corrosion in a butt splice to give me hassles down the road. You will be after the Purple wire and Black wire for each side.

i really like those axle cover spikes just ordered 2 on ebay 1.50 ea. how did you attach them, was axle nut size proper size for cover...i have covers already im hoping i can just pop these over them, thanks

Man they just slid right over my plain covers I kinda tapped them on with a rubber mallet been there for bout 700 miles. But hey if they fall off im out 2 bucks. Keep us posted
That's kinda what I was thinkin' - I'd want the bullet head versions and it should be the same; kinda luck the HG nuts are the same size as trucks...gonna be worth some CB chatter down the Big Road!

If you add a few drops of silcone in them they should stay on there real nice until you actually want them to come off

i wrapped electrical tape around regular caps to make up a slight size difference, dropped few drops of crazy glue before i spun them over tape, did 350 miles last sunday and theyre not going anywhere.
...watch out for these caps if you change fairing/windshield...they sneek up on your legs !
