Default Anyone running a Supertrapp 2:1 pipe?

If you have a Supertrapp two into one pipe, I'm interested in your feedback. I'm looking at getting a black one. I like the design, tunability for power and noise, and sound. Plus, being an old dirt biker, the Supertrapp name means more to me than most of the others. I haven't seen many pictures of supertrapp on a Softail......any out there?

Also an "old" dirt rider, and bought the Supertrapp for the same reasons. Had one on my Sportster, and now have one on a Deuce. About the only thing negative I could say is the chrome. I seem to have some yellowing taking place on the shields. I run a hair rich, so heat shouldn't be the culprit. Aside from that, I am very pleased with the sound and performance. What I like most is the deep throaty rumble, but not accompanied by the ear piercing loud and obnoxious sounds I too often hear. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again. I'll try to post a photo later today.

Thanks for the advice. Does the Supertrapp 2:1 use the stock muffler support or come with its own?

Sorry, I forgot all about getting a photo - duh. Here's the Supertrapp on an '07 Deuce. It came with its own mounting bracket. Keep in mind that the Deuce has a unique exhaust system, unlike what you have on yours.

I have one on my 2006 Standard. I like it for the tunability also, it has a good quality sound without being obnoxiously loud-but if you want more noise 30 seconds with an Allen wrench will give you that. I am another old biker who remembered SuperTrapp from "back in the day".
I bought mine used off ebay, it came with 2 end caps-1 solid and one open. I run the solid one and quite a few discs(don't recall just how many right now). My bike seems to pull better than with the stock pipes, and I didn't do anything else-no chip or tuner or re-flash. I have not had any issues with chrome discoloration, install was fairly easy even though I din't get any directions with a used pipe.

You guys are pushing me off the fence. I'm going to get one. I'll run it tuned to the best rumble and performance. But I like the fact I can pull disks out and muzzle it at inspection time. May prevent having to put the stock pipes back on to pass inspection.

It doesn't seem right, but more disks makes it quieter. Fewer disks=more noise. I think I am running 10 or 12, not much louder than stock but a deeper, throatier rumble.
I get annoyed as hell when I'm trying to sleep and a member of the "Loud Pipes Save Lives" club rattles my bedroom window.

A word of caution. Don't try to remove disks while the pipe is hot. The screws are stainless steele, and WILL bind up when hot. And be sure to use the anti-seize supplied with the pipes. Don't ask me how I know this (but I can tell you that you'll be able to clean the threads out with the appropriate tap)
