2007 FXST,
103" w/ SE255 cams,
Stock Heads
V&H Big Radius,
SE Heavy Breather,
PCIII,
84 HP, 104 lbs TQ.
.......Getting torn down again this winter to add R&R Stage IV Heads, R&R 615 cams, SE Cam Plate, Rev Perf Roller Rockers, GMR Push Rods.....Should be a nice improvement.
Dude! I love the pipes you have on your bike! I may get me a set!
Has anyone seen a dyno chart or tested the Softail Street Cannon mufflers vs stock? Can't find anything. Thanks
To evaluate ANY exhaust versus any other exhaust, you have to also FIRST free up the intake with a freer flowing filter and housing. The super restrictive stock HD air intakes are deliberately restrictive to assist in passing noise and emissions testing standards, so no matter how good or how bad an exhaust is, its true behavior won't show until you FIRST change the intake.
Likewise, changing just the intake without also changing the exhaust also hides the effect of the intake change.
All the above is because a cork anywhere in the system is a cork for the entire system.
JimG. I have a high flow air cleaner. Just trying to find out if those mufflers make any more power than stock. They are my first choice because they are quiet. But if they don't give me a couple of hp/lb ft I will pass. Thx

What I meant was make sure that the dyno chart that someone posts in response to your query is one for a bike that has BOTH the exhaust and a decent intake.Otherwise, the dyno chart will be useless to you.
2014 Fat Boy Lo 103, AC, SERT, Reinhart 2:1, Andrews 57H
What is "DIN" correction??? The industry standard correction standards are SAE (best) and STD (higher numbers but less realistic). I've never heard of an U.S. or Canadian dyno shop using "DIN". Using DIN makes the chart meaningless for comparison to other dyno charts.
Heritage Classic, 2015 with Stage IV, poor quality graph but 96HP and 102TQ, about to pull the trigger on changing my 103 pots to 110 and may move from straight shots to V&H Pro 2-1. The biggest improvement, adding a Power Vision to unlock the limits of the engine, should be a fair improvement.
Currently running with 259e cams which are great at the higher RPM but not great at the low end, any ideas welcomed.
The dealer has a new printer for his Dyno and when done, will post the changes.
