Also, what's kinda funny to me is that there are websites (Harley dealers) that say that the 96ci motors generally get between 89 and 92 ft. lbs. of torque (no HP, though). Is this an advertising glitch? Maybe a little white lie? I wonder because I read some folks on this thread are getting less than advertised after their stage 1 upgrade or other mods. What's the deal with that?
One thing I hadn't seen on here is anyone post results of a stock bike.
Before I made any changes to my bike, I wanted to see what I was starting with. As proven again and again, you can't really go off of what the dealer tells you.
Run Conditions: 23.88 Deg Celcius Humidity 32% SAE: 1.11
Max Power = 61.68
Max Torque = 79.26
I now have a SE Heavy Breather Intake and am considering the new power commander for the 2009 series softail. For the EFI unit, I was wavering between: PCIII, SERT, and the Thunder-MAX Auto Tune. The PCIII is the cheapest option, so I don't mind starting there.

Thanks to all that have posted so far.

2009 FXSTC
Todd: It seems a lot of tuners dont do a stock base line run prior to engine work. My tuner did all the stage 1/sert work then the 1st run was what he called baseline run but it still had the new breather and pipes on it then. When I asked about doing a complete stock baseline he said it would take 1/2 - 1 hour to do it and most guys dont want to pay extra for it. But he said if you ask and agree to the extra charge they will do itl
If you go back to the (1st) post on this thread I stated what my stock and after tune numbers were.
Good point about the dealer #'s on stock output, as the numbers Harely puts out are aggressively higher than most real world #'s
I wonder if their test numbers come from the CRANK instead of the rear wheel.

04 fatboy stock 88 b engine , stock cam, stage 1 = v+h short shots, se (k+n) air filter , thunderslide carb kit. 63hp and 79tq. Now 95" big bore at 97hp and 110tq with V+H PRO-PIPE
Dont remember stock figures, but first kit was a 103 kit, put down 101Hp 104 lb fts,
My latest edition 117" stroker motor, currently running vance and hines staggerds, and I am swapping them out for the 2 into 1 boarzilla this winter should help TQ numbers.
current numbers 131hp 140 TQ
It sure surprises alot of people, I love it..
Just got mine done and I'm very pleased with the results. Baseline for my stock 08 FXSTC was 64 hp, 83 ft. lbs of torque. I went with V&H BSS and a Ness Big Sucker and the TTS Mastertuner and now it has 80 hp and 93 lbs of torque. I can't wait to get on it and feel the difference!
Well I think I win the gold for the lowest numbers. I never checked stock but my 06 88B makes 64.92hp and 72.41tq. I have Sampson True Duals with fishtails, Arlen Ness Big Sucker Airfilter, and a Screaming Eagle tuner. I was told that it was the fishtails that are killing my performance and i would probably gain about 8 hp and 10 ft/lbs if I changed to normal mufflers, but i like my fishtails...I plan on doing a cam at some point and may bite the bullet and change the mufflers at that point.
