I put a set on my '05 Heritage last weekend. They do work great and (for me) stopped the head bobble...
But, mine were a pain to install as well. I had to "rotate" my turn signals forward a little bit for clearance. I guess they had been moved at some point. Well, once you get into needing to adjust the turn signals and/or passing lamps, you start to learn about things like "flare nut sockets"...
My Chrome ones just came in today for me to pick up and try. I have been thinking about also trying the Memphis Shades ones but maybe making custom size deflectors using the Memphis Shades hardware. Gonna give the Chrome ones a shot first and see how it goes.
Just put mine on today and what a difference. No more head bobble and even as windy as it was today very little to no buffeting at all. I put the bike through it's paces up into the mountains then down on to the Freeway and it was really nice to ride. I'm not sure if it was just me enjoying the comfort or what but the bike did seem to handle and accelerate better.
I also like that all the air noise seems to be gone as well and I can hear the engine and exhaust much better.
I did have to remove the washers from the inside of the windshield connect points to get them to fit with the turn signals but everything seems to be OK. Anyone know of any con's not having those washers installed? Thanks
