I have a set on my 10 Heritage and absoluty love them not the most attractive peices but are a 10 for effectiveness. As its cooled off they also hold a little more heat in and that is nice too.

When I was down in the US this summer, I was getting buffeted pretty good on the highway, so when I got to Portland I bought a set from the harley dealer. I was going to install them in the parking lot, and I bolted one side on and it looked ok, but then I tried to put my windshield back on and it wouldn't fit. damn... I had to take the deflector back off again and return them.
The problem is that I have a quick release Memphis Shades windshield on my '92 Fatboy and the mounting system is different than stock HD. I could have made it work by cutting a 1/4" slot in the top of the deflector about 2" long for the windshield bracket to slide through, but I didn't have any tools for that job with me.
I also have a light bar, but that didn't seem to interfere, only the WS bracket.
Has anyone here mounted the deflectors with a Memphis Shades windshield? And what did you have to do to make it fit?
Would the Kuryaken fit better?
Any help would be appreciated.

If I'm not mistaken Memphis Shades makes their own deflectors designed to fit with their windshield mounting hardware. You might give them a call.

Had put them on twice. Noticed a difference but nothing drastic! Just couldn't get past the looks! Took them off twice and now they're staying off. I don't seem to get a lot of the buffeting that folks seem to talk about anyway. Just don't think they look good and when I had them on, they were more bug collectors than anything else! LOL

I'll say they work. I put them on yesterday along with my national cycle heavy duty touring windshield and the two of them together make riding like I'm in a car. We had high winds yesterday and even with those winds I felt almost nothing. Zero buffeting and very little wind noise through my helmet. I do where earplugs all the time, though. that helps a lot with ride comfort.

I'm glad you said that... Since I have a gerbings liner I guess I won't need the wind deflectors...

Got mine on, Haven't ridden much since, but noticed less leaning in a 40 mph crosswind, and they sure look good.

I have them on my Heritage and there is absolutely no way they will come off, except for cleaning and polishing. I wonder how much of a modification I would have to make on them so they will fit a FXST.

Mine won't ever come off either. They create a nice still air pocket that is so comfortable on my 04 Fatboy. I had to mount mine in reverse because of my National Cycle windshield but they fit just fine. Actually, I think they look a little better that way because they are not so much out in front, but set back a little, which makes them slightly less noticeable.

I have bought and installed the deflectors yesterday. I'm up to now not able to test it because of the low temperatures and snow.

What's about additional reflections of engine noise?
