I bought 'em and installed 'em. It only took 10 minutes. It would take less now that I've done it and know how they fit on.
They DO work just as everyone says. Buffeting is gone, and riding is a breeze--literally, just a refreshing breeze, which seems the same whether going 35 through the neighborhood or 70 on the freeway. I think I feel more wind pressure on my legs, but not bad. They don't look too bad on the bike. I think the HD website touts that they give the bike that "full dresser" look. Not exactly what I was shooting for. But most of the time I leave my windshield, luggage and back seat/backrest on, so I guess it does finish off the dresser look for my bike. It's so nice to ride, I think I'll leave it on. I will be looking for a quick release solution though, as someone had earlier asked.

I bought and installed the deflectors earlier this week on my '09 Heritage Classic. I was able to hit the road yesterday. I'm impressed... they worked great!
I'd been running with the HD wind deflectors for about 5 years, but I wanted to see what Kuryakyn's new deflectors looked like so I got a set. The main difference is that the Kuryakyn's have a vent that you can slide open or closed to let the air through. Right at the moment, though, in the August SoCal heat, I'm running neither. (Ignore the mustache bar -- I've gone back to the Harley engine guards.)
Any idea if the kuryakans will work on a Deluxe? I know what they say but just wondering if they will.
Best way to find out is to call their customer service number (1-866-277-9598) and ask for tech support. They're usually pretty responsive and helpful.
I just installed the chrome lowers on my fatboy with a Memphis shades fats that was buffeting pretty bad. Had to get some different bolts (5/16" 24 1/12") to make them work. Looks horrible, but the buffeting is completely gone now! The difference is unbelievable.
I guess ill have to get a set also. took my new to me 98 fatboy out for its maiden ride today and was getting buffeting from below. crossed my arm in front and could feel the air rushing up. will use the windshield/deflectors for highway riding.
double vision is no fun.
too bad someone didnt make a clear set shaped like the HD ones.
I had clear ones on my last bike and from a distance you could barely see them. Worked great, but I don't think they'll blend with my current look. I have no complaints with excess wind on my Night Train. It's like there's a magical force that pushes the wind around me On my old Sportster I needed a shield and the wind deflectors just to keep from getting blown off the bike.

I saw pics of this bike awhile back and have been looking for pics of this set up for a long time. I'm going to try something similar. I mostly ride in town with no windshield, but like the wind protection on long freeway rides. I'll post pics when done.
I swear this sounds like an old women tea party. My bride always says 'I like to go riding with you I just don't like the wind in my face'. Duh, what the hell do you ride a bike for? By the way I have them on my 1980 FXWG to tame the beard.
