I recently installed Samson upswept fishtails on my 08 X-Bones and had to remove the stock rear turn signals due to a clearance issue on the exhaust side. I'm thinking of buying a license plate frame that has built in turn signals like the Badlands "whiskers" or Cycle Vision "slick signals". Anyone have any experience with either product? How's the fit, finish and quality? How bright are the turn signals? Any other ideas would be appreciated.
I did the same exhaust and got the $90.00 Panicia tail light with the signals built in, looks exactly like the old tail light, it does clean up the back end if it's legal in your state.
The panasea rear tail light isn't an option, as I already changed to a tri-bar tail light. I tried using Kuryakyn mini-bullets but the hardware on the detachable sissy bar is in the way. Looks like I'm going to use the badlands or cycle visions license plate frame with built in turn signals,
