my oil tank's paint is cracking on my rock. spoke to the stealer and they gave me some baloney about having to take my tank off my bike and send it to get re-painted. for some reason they couldn't just order me a new one and replace the one i have on the bike now.
i called HD customer service and the lady on the phone told me that there was absolutely no reason (other then the dealer not wanting to go through the process of buying me a new tank and then having to wait for HD to reimburse them) why the dealer couldn't just order me a new tank instead of having to send mine to get re-painted.
Haven't spoke to my dealer about it yet. Going to do that tomorrow. i'll keep you guys posted.
Final update: picked my Bones up yesterday with the new tank installed and they even gave me a full tank of gas. I can't believe it only basically took about two weeks from the time I first showed the dealer my tank to riding away with a new tank. Can't thank Old Glory HD in Laurel, MD enough.

man that is BS. I love how the dealer(s) usually try to get out of anything first. Then usually a few more times will follow through and make up a lame excuse.

i know. we spend so much money on these machines at those freaking dealerships that you would think they would bend over backwards whenever we have an issue like this. they are all scammers i tell ya.
they gave me some weird explanation and then agreed to order me a new tank. go figure !!

Funny. I just took my Train into HD of MD in Elkridge yesterday and got the fender swapped.

We're pretty close. Really close actually.
I bought my Bones at HD of MD but they've laid off so many people, I don't know anyone there at this point. Plus, Old Glory is literally two blocks from my house, and they've proven time and time again that they'll do whatever it takes to keep me and my buds who ride happy, even if we didn't buy our bikes there. I love that place and it's interesting how Old Glory is going gangbusters while HD of MD seems to be slowly dying. Too bad because I got great deals on both the bikes I bought there.
