I just got back a couple weeks ago from the Thunder Beach Rally in Panama City Beach. I was really worried about overheating in the stop and go traffic. Was really surprised how well the Xieds kept things cool. I run the SE big air and VH modified pro pipe. I agree a fuel management system works great, but for the type riding and mods I got,The Xieds will do for now.
I have the Rush 2.25" slip-ons, A/C, and dealer download. I asked them about putting a FuelPak, or something similar, on the bike and they said it wasn't necessary if I wasn't going to do anything to my motor. Most people run some sort of fuel management system, so I'm a little confused as well. A friend has the VH FuelPak and he is really happy with his.
