Crossbones front fender change
just kidding .. bike looks great , those fenders plus that exhaust ... perfect on a bones !
p.s. i think it looks better with the fishtails
If anyone is interested in doing this sort of conversion to your Bones and need some parts, I may be posting some up in the classifieds soon before I consider using FleaBay to unload them. Long story short, through some wheeling and dealing I actually ended up with two front Springer Classic fenders and two Rear Fatboy fenders. Obviously I can only used one of each. I planned on keeping the extras as spares in case of the unexpected fender bender but I just found out that we are having our third (and final) baby so I think it might be best if I can recoup some of my costs. If anyone is interested the PM me and we can talk details. Otherwise I will post them in the Softail section of the classifieds and eventually eBay if I get no bites here.
Thanks!
Edit: Both fender are currently spoken for pending funds. Thanks to everyone for their interest and thanks to taino for sending me a potential buyer. I didn't even have to list these items anywhere else and I had all sorts of responses which tells me that word-of-mouth played a big part. Thanks everyone!

The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
I am just now at the point of assembleing my bike and was in the dealer yesterday ordering my parts. One thing I noticed in all my research is that the Springer Classic lists a right side wheel spacer that is not mentioned in Ole Coyote's parts list. I forget the part number and it is around $40. From what I can tell, this spacer replaces the chrome spacer/fender bracket used by the Crossbones that fits between the wheel and the right rocker. Can you guys confirm if this is correct? Did you guys have to replace the wheel spacer on the right side? Additionally, when I asked about ordering it, I was told it was an obsolete part and that they might not be able to get it. The only option I would have is to find a dealership that actually has one in stock and then have them ship it to me.
Thanks again! I am so anxious to get my bike back together and I am really getting tired of the guys at H-D parts counters being of no freaking help at all! I can't wait to get it all done and ride my bike up there and make them eat their words.
I just went through the box with the parts I ordered, and I do have that spacer! So go tell your parts guy he's full of the proverbial!!! Got my parts delivered 11/05/2010, can't beleive it would be obsolete in a couple of months!!!
