Default Air Breathers

What's the consensus on Air Breathers? What's the recommendation for a 2010 Heritage?

it all also depends what you are looking to achieve, and whether you are changing anything else on your bike. It is is jut for the look then there are a ton of covers that you can try without changing the filter part.

it all depends what you want to chanbge it for

Well, there are numerous options. Most of it comes down to how much you want to spend and what kind of look you want. A lot of people get the Ness Big Sucker. then there is the S/E heavy breather which has a different look. If you want to break the bank check out the PM and RSD setups. There were also some guys that got a spike one on ebay for a great price too. I don't have the link for that one. Once you change to a high flow filter you need to retune or remap to avoid a lean condition created in the engine by the excess air flow. If you h ave any specific questions please feel free to ask.

IMHO, SE Heavy Breather is great looking with added performance, but pricey. It also takes away from the retro look of the Heritage, but to each his own.

I'm looking for better performance and of course if the look can be improved without taking away from the "old stlye" heritage then that would be a huge plus.

Does anyone know how much better performance you'd get out of a Hypercharger than just a big sucker for example?

You won't get better perfomance out of a hypercharger. As mentioned it really comes down to looks and money, I'd suggest the SE or Big Sucker, you can change the covers on them and those hyperchargers are foolish looking IMO.

The SE and a real K&N filter, not the harley SE made by k&n has worked pretty good.
I'am thinking about a different cover though now...
