Default Help With Samson True Dual Installation

I have a S-430 Samson True Dual head pipe kit. Has the head pipes and two muffler mounting brackets. Installing on a 2004 Heritage. I had a 2002 Heritage Springer exhaust on it previously. Have a couple of questions:

1. The kit comes with 3 chrome clamps. I know one holds the left side pipe to the spot on the passenger peg. One holds the right side pipe to the stock forward bracket mounted under the clutch. Where does the third attach? The 2002 Springer exhaust had a mount attached to the front of the right side muffler bracket, but I don't see how the Samson setup would tie in there.

2. The rear cyclinder cross-over pipe is slipped together behind the rear jug. Is that joint suppose to have a muffler type clamp installed?

Thanks

Ya, what he said. The one behind the rear jug should be close to the new shifter rod. PM with you number if you need more assistance. I installed mine 3 months ago.......in my living room. I'd be glad to help.

I have the front & rear head pipes loosely bolted on at the jugs with new graphite gaskets. The muffler brackets are loosely installed. I test fit the bent shift rod, but it was hanging up on the back of the primary case. I have stainless spherical rod ends on it so that makes it a little to low for clearance. I'm having a local machine shop make one out of stainless rod that should clear okay. I have test fit the rest of the left side pipe but have to hold off on final install until I get the new shift rod.

Thanks for the responses about the cross-over pipe clamp. How about the chrome mounting brackets for the right side? Can anyone tell me how they installed them.
Thanks, John

Thanks to a quick call from Firecwp I'm back in business. Didn't realize the 3 clamps that came with the headers were for the mufflers and cross-over pipe. They looked more like the HD mounting brackets from the Springer exhaust I took off. I love this forum.

Samson true duals are very simple to install. Just don't tighten everything up until the end. Also make sure to check shifter linkage making sure bike goes in and out of gear ok...Pipes do come with a detailed instuction sheet.

The hardest part is tightening the clamp behind the rear jug. Really.
