For those with a windshield on their deluxe...

This is the Memphis Shades, I think the 19". Its detachable works good and was only I think around $200. The only thing is and is why its cheaper is that its Acrylic (Plexiglas) not Polycarbonate (Lexan). Acrylic does scratch easier but I haven't had a real problem if you take care of it. This one is 2yrs old. If needed I can replace the plastic more often and is still cheaper.

I looked around a bit. Windvest is an alternative, very different style. I had one on my Deuce and liked the way it worked. They aren't cheap either though. Memphis Shades, as 78 mentioned. I ended up going with the HD nostalgic, tinted, and I got one off E-bay that was cut down to about 15" (which is what I need to look over it) for around $200 or so. I'm thinking of replacing the shield with a Clearview shield with a recurve though.

Got the short tinted one for the wife's Deluxe. Very light tint and hardly noticible. I think it's a great looking shield and matches the bike perfectly. It's actually a bit too short according to conventional thought but she's happy with it.
I took 3/4" off my shield using a jigsaw, painters tape and various grades of sandpaper. Job look as good as factory imo. I used a tutorial I found on the net. Worked light a charm.
BTW, got her shield, bags, tourpak, engine and bag guards online from Zanottis Motors at 20%

Once marked, tape both sides of the shield in the area you will be cutting with painters tape. Using the template made earlier, place it over the tape at the desired level and mark with a sharpie.
Cut the shield with a fine bladed jigsaw. Sand the edge with several grits of sandpaper ( a block will help alot) start with a rougher grit (100) and work your way down to finer and finer grits.
Take your time, cutting and sanding should be smooth to avoid flat spots. Don't round off the edge too much, as you will scratch the shield face.
