Default need ideas for a detachable windshield for a 2003 Fatboy

We have been looking all over the net but have yet find a detachable windshield for the Fatboy that looks good and is effective. If you have any thought and can prove a picture that would be awesome. Thanks

Windvest has some 16" x 14" that look pretty good and you can get them through Phat Performance for an ok price

Have you checked your local HD dealer ? They can fix you up with windshield & mounts. This was on my 02 Fatty

Check out ceebaileys.com I just bought one 4" taller and 2" wider than HD's... blocks the wind and bugs much better.

At 6"1 and in a lowered C&C seat the HD fits perfect - I look just over it, no buffeting. A proper fitting shield should be between your chin and nose - you should look just over it, not through it. If you get one too tall, people do cut them down for proper fitment.

Actually I find that the older I get the higher my windshield gets... there is nothing wrong with looking through a windshield of good quality aircraft acrylic. Makes cruising on long trips less fatiguing... around town I ride without a windshield.

I just found one on E-bay for my wifes Fatboy. It's the 18" nostalgic lightly smoked detachable windshield. We will see how it looks on her bike when I recieve it.

Never felt fatigued due to my proper fitted shield. Whatever works and makes the rider comfortable...
