What's up Clammy

I was wondering what the difference is between the regular
screaming eagle pipes as opposed to the SEII's??
The reason I'm asking is that my dealer told me if I put
on the SEII's it will void my warranty. He also told me that
the regular screaming eagles are 60/40 instead of 50/50
and the sound of the regular screaming eagles
is somewhere between stock and the the SEII's.
I'm so confused.[sm=helpout.gif]

Thanks in advance

My dealer said if I had my SE2s installed prior to delivery, they would be covered under my warrantee... as far as I know, the Screamin' Eagles are the same as stock, whereas the SE2s are for "racing" applications.

The SE2s will make your Harley SOUND like a Harley is supposed to sound, which is far better than that "quieter than the japanese copy bikes sound" it comes with from the factory! I really love the soundf and added power mine have! I did the full Stage 1 - SE2s, Screamin Eagle air filter kit and carb rejet. I HIGHLY recommend it!

Cheers!

I had the same exact dilemma and confusion just a couple weeks ago.

I went with the SE II's and had the dealer put them on along with the SE Air cleaner and breather, and the EFI remap
before I took delivery.
My warranty is fine and I'm damn happywith the mufflers look AND sound.

Like everyone has been saying, they are relatively quiet when you are tooling around without a lot of throttle, but they really light up when you hit the gas

Crazy Canuck

Try this, call another dealer and ask the same question about the SE2 mufflers voiding your warrantee, only change here is to tell them you want THEM to do it and see what the reply is. Bet the answer is different then.

Different dealers give different answers!

Hey TC

You know your stuff I see. I went back to the dealer in person
and they indeed told me a different story. He said that over
the phone you never know who you're realy speaking to so
they have to be careful. Anyhow he said that the bike will still
be under warranty as long as I deal with them. Obviously nothing
is stoping me from buying parts elsewhere but for warranty issues
I will stick with him.

P.S. So I did get the SEII's and can't wait to try them out[sm=happy046.gif]

Been around the block a few times, and although I can't say I've seen it all, I've seen some pretty shady dealers with a bunch of "lines" that boil down to $$$$ for them. The song usually changes from dealer to dealer, depending how much of a nut they have to crack each month (again $$$). Poor business in my opinion.

Glad it worked out for you, You're going to love those SE 2's

All chrome exhaust pipes will blue and discolor regardless of lean or rich mixtures. My "other" bike had blued pipes when I picked it up at the dealer with 7 miles on it. This brand of motorcycle just doesn't worry about discoloration on the chrome exhaust pipes and neither do I. I just care that it runs very good and it shows in it's performance. My Harley has VH pipes with chrome covers over the blued exhaust pipes like most Harley's have covered exhausts. HD's are supposed to look purty....

I noticed a little discoleration on my pipes from the engin
to about 10 inches down. the color is somewhat blackish
blueish. I was wondering if this is normal or it's a result of me
changing my air cleaner to a big sucker and riding without
a rejet??
By the way she runs great but I was just wondering.

P.S. The color is not super dark.
