Default Handlebar Riser Question

I need to raise the Bar height on my Heritage about 2" and move the bars a little closer to me. The original Riser height is 2", so if I go with 4" curved Risers, that will be about right.

Question is, am I going to have to worry about changing any cables, or am I ok as long as I'm only going 2" higher?

Thanks

Yes those would raise them 2". You shouldn't need new cables.

Smile Risers

I put a set of 4" Pullback Risers on my 2008 Heritage this summer. Cables did not have to be changed but dealership suggested replacing the front brake line. Was told existing line would have to be altered and it could possibly cause a stress factor later on. Not to expensive and gave me peace of mind. I used the Harley PBR as it is steel/chrome instead of some of the after market ones that are cast/chrome. PBR really made quite an improvment to rider comfort on the long trips.

I just put the 4 inch pull backs on my 2010 Fatboy. No need to change cables. Plenty of room on the brake and clutch lines.

You shouldn't need to change things if your only going a couple of inches. But like has already been suggested I would seriously consider replacing the brake line.
With most of the upper half of the stock line being a hard line its all too easy to damage it trying to 'bend it to fit' better.
Better/safer to just get a new one piece flexible braided line in black or chrome from someplace like Magum or even a dealer than screw around with what the factory put on it.

Thanks, problem is, I've got a 2011 Heritage with ABS Brakes. I bought a service manual for the bike and it says that anytime the brakes need to be bled, you need to use "Harley Digital Technician". So, looks like I might have to pay the dealer to do the switch.

Was kinda hoping to do it myself and save the labor charge, but it's the brakes, and I don't want to take a chance with them.
