Default help whats this wire for

I posted this in the tech section but I figured id try it here. I had a screaming eagle air cleaner installed and yesterday I noticed a wire with a capped plug hanging behind the air cleaner. I just stuffed it as far up and out of the way as possible. Just wondering what's it for. I read somewhere its for europe or overseas models. I hope it was ok to stuff it up and out of the way...it looked like crap hanging between the jugs behind the air cleaner. Any body have an idea what it is? If the dealer just tucked it away I would never even known it was there.

That's what I've heard too, a connection for European tuning.

Zip tie it out of the way. It's for European bikes.

Great thanks...I was going to do that but was afraid the zip ties would melt from the heat being between the two jugs....so I just stuffed it up there.....do they make high heat ties?

Zip ties should be fine, but if you are really that concerned about the heat, that's what they make the stainless steel zip ties for. The ones some guys use for exhaust wrap

Yea Ive used ragular zip ties before only inches away from exhaust in a 66 mustangs engine bay, I am sure that gets much hotter then the heat that will be hitting the area your talking about. but as mentioned by brettnbama the stainless steel zip ties are an option.
