I put the H-D reduced effort clutch kit (the ramps only) in my 05 FXSTS and adjusted the clutch cable to spec. I went to take it out for a spin today and when I put it in first, second, third, all the way up to fifth it still stays in neutral. When I put the bike on the lift and jack the rear wheel and shift it into gear, I get resistence like I should.
I even check the clutch plates and they are engaging when the clutch is pulled in. Any suggestions???
Sounds like you need to readjust the pushrod behind the primary cover.
Sounds about right, you changed the geometry of the lever in the trans so you need to make the adjustment under the derby cover to compensate for the difference. Good luck on your project.

I adjusted the clutch to spec at the lever. I also adjusted it under the derby after the fact. But when adjusting the screw to get the "feel" the adjuster screw seemed real tight when turning.
If that screw is tight you're not disengaging the clutch. The screw and locknut should be set before the slack is taken up at the clutch lever. I think you're close.
