Anyone know anything about this 2000 Heritage Springer? Custom paint I assume, but what about the leather? Did Harley sell these tan leather sets or did someone spend a lot of money having the stock seat and bags redone? This isn't some limited edition bike is it? The seller seems to make it sound that way.
I just clicked on the link and it was sold, did you end up buying it? I don't know anything about that bike except I think it's fugly. If that's your thing, cool.
No I did not buy it. Never had seen leather or paint colors like that and thought it was either some limited run thing or someone put a ton of money into it and didn't get much back from it.
Not saying that I've seen everything but I've never seen anything remotely like that. I think someone dumped big bucks into it thinking they'd keep it forever. I'm surprised it sold for that much, I wonder how long it was for sale for.
Everything on that was custom.. paint and Leather.. The Heritage Springer was never offered in any of that combo.
Lots of money involved there. I'm surprised it went so cheap.
Those were my thoughts. The color combo might not be to everyone's liking, but there was a lot of money put into that bike.
By the way...those are four nice Springers you have there. I'd like to find a nice FLSTS for myself and keep the RKC for when my wife and I travel. I love the birch white/red color combo, and I'm all about the fringe on the 2000 and earlier models.
