So I don't use a new derby gasket when I change my primary fluid, but what about the outer cover gasket? I'm swapping my primary cover and need to know if I should plan on a new gasket, or is the original reusable. I only have 5000 miles on the Lo.
At $30 or more a pop, I'd reuse it. If it leaks, then replace it. I've had mine off more times than I can remember and haven't replaced it. That said, I went back with the same cover each time. It's your money and time though......
i reused mine but it seeped a little oil so i had to put a new gasket on it the cam cover gasket i reused and it didnt leak its not hard to pull off so it just depends on whether its worth your time to try it or not.
I've reused my primary gasket many times and never had a issue with it leaking!! I always check my o ring on the drain plug and if its not cut or torn I reuse it and never had one to leak yet!!! Its all how much money you want to spend to get that warm and fuzzy feeling!!!!

OFF subject, but I just wanted to say that I'm not a fan of bags on a lo, But the set up you are running is the best I've seen on a lo so far. Very nice bro.

Thanks. I'm not a big fan either, and I run without them sometimes. But it is a comforting feeling knowing you got somewhere to stuff things if you're out and about.
I've been looking at the quick release options, but IMHO they all suck since they move the bags out too far. Looks like crap. I'm trying to figure something else out.
