Default carlini gangster question..

definitely want a set of carlini apes on the bike,thought i wanted flyin apes till i started looking at the gangsters,but will the gangster bar,mount up ok with the windsheild if i choose to keep it on some times .im going with the 18 inch also if that makes a difference. thanks.

I'd imagine you might have to notch out the windshield for the bars.

Thats what I was thinkin'. The Gangsters curve out where as the Flyin' apes curve in.

I've got 16" Flying Apes and use a full size H/D windshield for extended highway runs.
The only drawback with the windshield is the bars cannot be pushed way forward.

well so i prolly would not be able to use the gangsters,or at least push them way forward,mmmmm starting to get disappointed.

how about if i kept the gangster bars in line with the forks and not so pushed up will that work,just trying to figure this out before i committ to the dinero.

Yeah the gangsters will work I run a shield for LONG rides, I just loosen'em and pull'em back. And they still look good

You can notch the windshield around the bars.....there is a thread on here somewhere that shows it being done step by step. There was also another guy the made extension brackets for the windshield to move t forward a little.
