not a real exciting mod, but I pulled the trigger on the vivd black brake rotors. For anyone who saw the other thread, the guy at my dealer called HD today. basically said the same thing DaddyKnuck said on here. It says the work on softails except Springer. The said, "Springer" is the FXSTS or FLSTS, not the Crossbones. It will be sweet to be able to stop a bit better...
thanks, I'm thinking about getting my stockers taken apart and getting the spokes and hubs PCed gloss black until I can get the scratch together for a set of ride wrights...
Hope they fit for you, I was under the impression that a bones WAS a Springer in all but name and trim.
If its different then its one of the few times that HD has not reused an older set of parts to make something new.
I ordered a pair myself, Brett! I can't wait to get them on the bike. I doubt they'll be in in time for me to ride to the dealership this Saturday for installation, but next Saturday should work. Be sure to take a few pics after you get them on!
yeah, according to the parts guys here, the front end is different than the other springers, he told me if for some reason it doesn't work, they will refund me on parts and labor
