I am looking to put a 150/80-16 ME 880 WWW on the rear but I am concerded with the fitment. I'd rather run that size over the 140/90-16 but I also plan I doing air ride soon, so will I have any rubbing issues? has anyone put this tire on? I have the stock 16 wire wheels too.
If you are 2000-2002 (like myself) odds are you need to center the wheel first
My Indy did the following
1 - machined the rear brake caliber
2 - changed the rear wheel spacers
3 - reverse the fender/strut bolts so the head is inside.
voila ... Rear wheel is now centered fully and you can run even 160 rear from Metz or 150 Dunlop (they are both 162 real width) (kinda tight)
I am running now 150 Night Dragon which suites the bike's profile a lot better.
My buddy has one on his 07 and needed a little work for it to be centered as well. I ahve a 2002 and always run a 130 for simplicity sake as I don't want to hassle with making everything fit. I avhe stuffed 150's under there and had issues. The fumy thing is on the stock wheels I ran a metzeler 150 and a dunlop 150 fine so the offset of my rims I have now and my last set is a little off from what the stock off set it.
Thanks! I'm gonna get the 150 under there. If it goes on easy somethings wrong lol Thanks againf for your help on my Carlini Gangsta Apes too Dr Vtwin!!
