Default Ride Wright or DNA wheels

There has been much info posted about fat spoke ride wright and DNA wheels in the past. Getting ready to order wheels, whats the latest word on RW/DNA ??? Seems like Ride Wright is having problems like DNA was. Any info would be helpful. Quality ? Ease of install ? Etc. Thanks all

I think most guys on here will say ridewright. I know there are a lot of people not happy with DNA. From what I hear the most is with DNA Fat spokes leaking air. I havent really heard any complaints about their 60/80/100 spokes. I know a few guys running DNA and no issues. I know you can get a front and rear for about the same price as a front from ridewright so if cost is an issue then that might be something to consider. Ridewright has always be considered one of the top in spokes and service.

It is a decision that is up to you. I run Ride Wrights and sell them as well. Funny how that works. I have run both brands but experienced leaking in both of my DNA rims. The rear DNA leaked upon arrival and I was uanble to get it "fixed" or replaced even though I am local to them. I put a tube in and called it a day.

The front DNA rim was fine until I changed tires and then it started leaking. I put a tube in and ran it like that. It was not until after speaking with Sam at Ride Wright that I learned that a tube is pretty much a necessity in a front 21x3 rim with a 90/21 tire for safety reasons.

I now run Ride Wright 21x3.5 front with a tube as per Sam, and a 16x3.5 rear without a tube. I have had 2 tires on the rear without issue and no issue with the front. Besides the fact that I work closely with Ride Wright, I find them to be a much more customer freindly company in every way and I will always be happy to fork over my heard earned cash to them as I know I will be taken care of no matter what happens. They offer a lifetime warranty on their wheels. Can DNA match that?

Granted there have been a few "issues" as of late with Ride Wright, I choose wheels from a well known QUALITY manufacturer whom makes all of their stuff right here in the good old US of A. I believe strongly in supporting what is left of the American economy as if I do not there will be nothing left soon.

The bottom line on Ride Wright is that they WILL do what is necessary to make it right no matter what. Mistakes do happen and that sucks for everyone involved, but it is much fewer and more far between than you know.

+1 for the Black Bike Wheels. Although I don't have the fat spokes, my wheels havnt given me any problems and I love the look. Their shop is less than 20 minutes up the freeway from me. I visited them in person and I have nothing but good things to say about those cats. Cool dudes.

Black makes great wheels too. In m,y experience they sometimes take a bit longer to make them but the wheels are superb. I sell them as well.
