Have two days in a row at home alone... Little man is at daycare, wife working, great time to get in some miles and enjoy the weather. Take off this morning and about 3 miles from the house my rear tire punctures something and goes flat. By the time I had the bike towed home, removed the tire, got it fixed, and put it back on, family was coming home. Went for a ride after dinner to make sure everything was good with the tire and it was all good. Go to bring the bike into my garage and see the top coil terminal is bent funny. When I pull the cable out, the entire thing breaks off as you can see in the pictures. No idea how that happened. Now tomorrow instead of riding and enjoying the day, I'll have to drive an hour plus to the nearest place that will have an ignition coil. Any ideas how that could of happened?
Wondering if I glue the broke piece back how safe it would be. I'm thinking it's not worth the risk though. At least my bad luck is happening before the trip down to Daytona.

No idea how it would have happened but sorry to hear about your bad luck brother! Now that this stuff is outta the way, your trip to Daytona outta be good lol
I think I figured out how I managed to break the terminal. When I had the bike on the lift to fix the rear tire, I'm guessing the strap over the bike was against the terminal and when I tightened it down, I weakened it. I'm surprised it started with it as loose as it was. That's the only thing I can imagine would of done it.

That sounds like it def. couldve done it. I hate I dont get to visit Daytona this year...I'm originally from Hartwell, Ga and it wasnt a bad ride...do you know when the Myrtle Beach bike week or if it's worth going to?(not trying to hi-jack your thread)
Heard mixed things about myrtle beach. Only time I was there was a week after a bike week for a few days. Great place to visit though. If I'm able to get away from work this year I'll go checkout bike week. They just had a mini bike weekend type thing that I heard was alright. Not sure on the exact dates this year but I know most of the stuff is on North Myrtle Beach and the nearby areas. Something with the mayor banning bike week on actual MB. I'm sure google knows than me on it
