SO do you have to take the floorboards off to install these extension kits? I'm 6'3" and sometimes my 07 Deluxe can feel a bit crammed....but I love the floorboards!
I installed the extensions at the same time I went to forward controls on my Springer Classic. I decided to go back to the floorboards a couple of weeks ago and left the extensions on. Works great with the F/Bs!!! I'm not sure why they don't advertise them for use with floorboards as well. Maybe there's an issue I don't know about but they sure work for me.
You ditched the forwards? That was some work to go to forwards from floorboards wasn't it? I remember when you did that. No kidding.. The extensions work with the floorboards?? I'd love to see some close-up pics of that.
me too! pics please!
not wanting to part with the comfort of the floorboards is the only reason i have not gone with forward controls.

Yeah, I ditched them again. I like forwards a lot but decided to give the floorboards another try with extensions. I went to forwards primarily because of the extra legroom. But believe it or not I like the extended boards much better now. I can stretch more then with the forwards plus I'm able to move my feet around some during longer rides.
That's cool. When you find footpegboard nirvana.. That's all that counts.
Funny how everyone is different and has to make it theirs.. What's comfy to you is probably unrideable to the next guy.. I'm like that.. My pal has a standard he loves.. I can't "standard" the close pegs.. I'm all bunched up on his bike. I did the cruise-arms and lucked out.. never looked back. Perfect stretch for me. I'll probably screw up the whole thing when I go to the 12" bars.. then have to fix it. hehe
I hear you Babs. Sometimes getting it right means a little trial and error. Thank god for ebay... since they've been around I've been able to almost break even on things that 'didn't quite work out' which would have otherwise cost me a ton of cash
I installed the kit on my Blackline and the kit included everything from extended brake line to the extended shift rod. Quality is amazing and I was also thinking of floor boards but still thinking.
