Lets break this down....no windshield: pros-(you think) your cool because you don't
need a windshield. (to each his own)
cons- bugs, wind burn, not being able to relax for
a second because the wind is trying to
blow you off. Fun for a while but don't let
go of the handle bars.
windshield: Pros- no bugs,no wind burn, you can relax and
enjoy the ride.
cons- NONE because I dont care who thinks Im
a dork. Im comfortable!!
I do take mine off for around town but it is so much more comfortable with it on the long runs.
I was coming home from vacation on I95 this week and 2 guys on bikes passed me without windshields. In the middle of the highway was about 10 pieces of broken PVC pipe that apparently fell off the back of a truck. As the cars hit them the pipes splintered and were flying everywhere and narrowly missed both bikers. If one had hit them in the face it would have been curtains fursur. Yeah they looked real cool dodging and weaving and prolly **** their pants as a bonus.
It's true, cool guys don't use windshields, but you can't be cool after 40 years of age, it's just not done, it's more important to be comfortable and sensible.
