Hey Warrick,
I thought the same thing. I loved my Sporty, but once I saw and sat on that Slim I was hooked. I went back yesterday and traded up... Just the ride home was such a difference. Good luck on your decision.

My wife just traded-in her Sporty for a 2013 Slim yesterday. She loves it and so do I. I actually took it for a spin... I love the way it feels/ handles. Of course, being that it's a brand new bike, I couldn't go over 50 mph until after putting at least 50 miles on the bike.... Something to do with breaking the bike in. Yea, I'm not connecting the dots on this taking it easy on the bike until after the first 50 miles thing... But, I've been only riding for maybe two years so I don't know jack about bikes. I just love to ride... :-)

Had my slim since June. Got about 850 miles on her. Absolutely love the handling and comfort. I'm doing research on pipes and AC for a stage 1 at the 1000 mile check. Couldn't be happier.

I can't seem to find an answer, will the Street Slammer bars work on a Slim WITHOUT new wires/cables?

in other words, is there enough slack in the nacelle/neck area to make them work?

wife needs the bars to come back just a tiny amount, but likes the look of drag bars

what does having ABS have to do with the Handlebars? see that in some ads/posts

Yes they will work. I have a 2002121 slim with abs and have no problem with the installed. I installed them myself. Just take some time.

I had Slim fever, too, when I sat on one. Almost bought it, but when me and the salesman started adding up all the stuff I'd need for two-up riding - I have to drag the wife around a lot - the price got to be too much. If it wasnt for that, I'd have bought it. Still, it is a very cool bike and a blast to ride.

In 2012 I Looked at Fatboy, Fatbob and Slim after test rides the Slim won! On the 2up issue as well as just finding a comfortable seat that looks good and doesn't kill the Slims style, it's tough....!!

Sure did dig the seat style of the Breakout and wished it would fit the Slim.................

I think I've solved my seat issue, just ordered a Blackline seat !!

Talked to a mate who has a blackline,he hates his stock seat and is looking for options.I'm looking to change stock seat on Slim as after 200 odd Kms start to get sore,I read on here somewhere that someone modified a Deluxe seat.Anyone know what they are like?

I just picked up a slim a couple weeks ago and the seat was the first thing to go. I bought the Danny Gray Buttcrack and it's a night and day difference in comfort.
