I need some serious help!!I have a 2004 Softail Standard and i just bought 16" apes. They measure: End Rise: 16.0”, Width: 39.5”, Center Width: 11.5”, Pullback: 11.5” and i want to buy Magnum sterling chromite II cables but i dont know what sizes i need, please help.
10" over your stock length on all cables except the clutch which will be 8"
The standard and FLSTC have the same stock cable lengths and I have researched this stuff to death. I am doing 16s on my Deluxe. You can find out your exact stock cable lengths by looking in the HD accessory catelogue. They are listed in the multi fit section. Let me know if this makes sense or if you need further clarification.
I am out of town right now and I don't have the HD catelogue to refer to so I am not sure on the total length. But...I know the cable has to be 10" over stock. I checked this recently and the Standard and FLSTC have the same stock cable length. Did you look in the accessory catelogue for stock length?
just put 16's on my 06 Standard last month. I went with Harley Stainless Steel cables, and went with 10" over stock on both, throttle and idle, and clutch...have fun!!

Do you have any pic's and how do you like the apes?
