Hi, I want to put cruise control on my heritage. Its 2007 model. I like the bike very much. But I would like cruise.
does anybody know what kind of cruise control will work.
I have heard that the cruise control unit from roadking, ultra glide, ultra classic should work on a heritage.
what do you think? If so what kind worked for you.

I just got one of those throttle locks. Works great for me, cost around 50 bucks.
I've got what I guess is a throttle lock on my 09 Heritage and even though it's not "cruise control" when on the open highway it does work well and gives my wrist a break. I don't know exactly how a "true" cruise works but if in fact it increases throttle when needed to maintain speed then it might be worth it for under $200.
you might check out www.murphskits.com. He sells aftermarket CC kits for different bikes. I met someone at Thunder Beach last year with a Rosta kit on his softail. He really liked it but it took about 3 hours to install. He did the install himself. It looks do-able.

Good luck. Most of the OEM style units that you want have been gobbled up by those doing the same thing.
I am very happy with my Cruise Buddy. It is not the cheapest, but it is the best engineered. I suppose if I road thousands of interstate miles I might want an electronic kit but I just use the Cruise Buddy to give my hand a break. It is very easy to make minor adjustments to allow for ups and downs on relatively flat roads, but none of them will work that well in hilly country.
i installed the rostra kit was really easy and i only had 360$ invested and had to cut no wires.could be done for 230 but have to cut some bike wires.only hook uo t tach wire, ground, power.tap into brake switch so cruise will shut off when hit and done
