Gave up and pulled my last one last week (have several on a bench in the basement, rotate 3 tenders among them). Got to ride till the last half of November, usually salted heavy here by then, but it's good and salted now, plus a lot of ice off the main roads. A bit chilly around 40*, but I can dress for that. Northern living does have some disadvantages for riders.
