Well today I geared up with all my cold weather gear. I felt like a black Michelin Man. Anyway, I wanted to take a short run today before the trip this weekend just to see how comfortable I was.
Well at 37 degrees and 70 mph, my cheeks (face) and toes got a little cold, but other than that with long johns, jeans and an insulated leather jacket and chaps I wasn't cold.
That being said, even though I wasn't uncomfortable, I wasn't really comfortable either. So given the weather forecast this weekend I've decided to take the trip via car and look forward to another weekend where my Wife and I can have our first "biker's getaway".
my cold weather gear consists off: Scorpion ALL-IN leather, hoodie, then shirt, gauntlet gloves, jeans, then leather overpants on top of those (they were $150 and cut like jeans but zip down the sides, had to replace the flky zipper with a YKK because it kept effing up, but been wearing htem 3 years now) , and my Danners....This works down to the 30's for me....
