Well today I geared up with all my cold weather gear. I felt like a black Michelin Man. Anyway, I wanted to take a short run today before the trip this weekend just to see how comfortable I was.

Well at 37 degrees and 70 mph, my cheeks (face) and toes got a little cold, but other than that with long johns, jeans and an insulated leather jacket and chaps I wasn't cold.

That being said, even though I wasn't uncomfortable, I wasn't really comfortable either. So given the weather forecast this weekend I've decided to take the trip via car and look forward to another weekend where my Wife and I can have our first "biker's getaway".

This is what is heading my way this weekend:

my cold weather gear consists off: Scorpion ALL-IN leather, hoodie, then shirt, gauntlet gloves, jeans, then leather overpants on top of those (they were $150 and cut like jeans but zip down the sides, had to replace the flky zipper with a YKK because it kept effing up, but been wearing htem 3 years now) , and my Danners....This works down to the 30's for me....

walmart sells the Walls brand, they are pretty good for a knock off, but they only go up to 2x..

if it only gets down to 50, all you will need is thermal underwear or sweat pants under your jeans.. or just thick jeans..
Carhartt was going to be my sugestion.
