Thanks for the info. How do I change the frequency? Are there toggle switches on the receiver? If so, there doesn't seem to be any switches on the transfitter, so how do the signals connect? Thanks again.
It's the receiver on the bike, it's receiving a signal for somewhere ,or the's short in it. If you can change the frequency, try that. If not, try a replacement receiver. Obviously it's not the transmitter, as you removed the batteries and it still did it.
Then get a Gremlin bell.
Or take them off, personally I think thy're tacky, unless your riding a Honda.
This is what is hapening. If you really want to keep them, wire in a switch that cuts the power to the reciever. Then you can just turn it off when you are going to park it.
I hade weird issues with my FLSTC, not exactly what your describing, but it was a host of lights doin this and that when I'd try to start it or shortly after I did and was riding.
Turned out to be a bad BCM, they replaced it and all is good.
Same issues again... HD picked it up on Thursday and just called today to tell me it was fixed, I didn't take the call so I don't yet know what was wrong with it, but I'm assuming it was a BCM again.
I'll post later what the problem was.

Turned out to be the wire harness going to the right handle bar had come loose.
No matter, the bike is theirs now. I traded it for a 13 FLHTK, and absolutely love it!
