You Sir, are entirely welcome.
Ebay still has the item for those not wanting the aux lamp setup.
4 years later Im still satisfied with the job the windsplitter does to keep the wind off my chest.
And it it comes off quick for the trips around town.

You do realize that he posted that 4 years ago, right?
It is a thread with part numbers & DIY installation info. Threads like these are worth having around. Especially when someone adds more pertinent info to it.
I've had one of these for well over a year. I like it because it's low and easy to see over. I don't get any turbulence and the wind comes well over my head, in spite of it being a low shield, but I don't think the vent makes any difference at all.
I've ridden with the vent open, closed, partially open, partially closed, etc. and it doesn't seem to make any difference. Still, I really like the shield, though I'm not overly fond of the looks. I have three shields for my FB, and this is one I like to use in the summer when I want to really cut road glare.
Resurrecting this thread again... So do you still need 58810-02 if you buy 58270-02 and the two 5885?

I have a 2014 Fat Boy Lo and just bought the Harley-Davidson Wind Splitter Windshield (#57400159) and also do not have the auxiliary lamps.
The p/n for the bracket you talked about is 58270-02, and my local dealership had 3 of them in stock! They didn't have the 5885 spacers, but another local dealership did. It took literally 5 minutes to install.
Thanks again for the helpful post, YOU ROCK!
