Default VTwinn Goodies floor board extensions

Anybody install Vtwin Goodies floorboard extensions on a FB?
If so how much cornering clearance did you give up?

I have them on my Fatboy Lo which is lowered 1.5" front and rear and to be honest I really don't scrap my boards at all unless I am doing it on purpose. I ride hard but I would not say that I am super aggressive on a Harley. That is what sport bikes are for.

I have them on my stock height Fatboy - - the wider stance is much more comfortable for me. I don't scrape the floor boards anymore than I used to which was very seldom anyway

I have a set on my 05. I've scraped a couple times since I put them on. Mostly moving 'briskly' in parking lots & tights spots like that. I went up into central Pa 2 weeks ago(curvy mountain roads), never made contact at road speeds. As above, I'm thinking you'd have to be taxing the tires like a sport bike to make things scary.

If you aren't in a hurry, I'm going back & forth with my dealer right now on a left over RK. If you wanna wait a week or so, I may have a set to sell you. If you like half moon boards, you can buy them off me too!

Scraping boards is part of the fun. You won't notice much of a difference with or without.

If clearance is an issue, you can adjust your shocks forward which allows for over an inch of increased clearance. Many Softails are riding around with their shocks set too low causing clearance, ride and handling issues.

They make riding a little more comfortable. I had a set and removed them after the first ride. I scraped a lot more often. Bike is stock height. Ride twisties and back roads 80% of the time. Try them. They have a good return policy if you dont like them.

I have them on my 2011 Fatboy and think they make the ride more comfortable. As far as scraping, there are a lot of twisties where I live and I scrape regularly with or without the extensions. You'll notice it a little more but it's no big deal, the more comfortable ride is worth it.
