This may be a dumb question but here goes,
Are the fender lens suppose to light up on an 06 Heritage Softail
mine do not even have bulbs in them.
Talked to a dealer at a swap meet last weekend and he said
only international models do not light up. But U.S. models do.
I bought the bike new at dealer in Indy.
Thanks for your input
Yes, they should light up. Go get some bulbs and try it or get a meter and check the sockets for voltage. Bulbs are one of the few cheap things out there. 98 cents the last time I bought one.
Thanks to all, but the fender tips do not have sockets for the lamp and there is no wiring to either the front or rear. Both are just plastic decoration.
The swap meet dealer said only international models are not equipped with
working lights, I bought this one from Indy West ( which I will never do business with again for other reasons) in 2006 and they never said anything
about it, I just took it that they were all like this. The rear one got broken and I got a new one and it had light in it.
I have a 06 heritage softail too. It's the 06 flsti. They didnot come with lights. Lenses on fender yips but no light or wire harness. The 06 is the only year they offered a base model heritage. Not a classic. It was a no frills heritage.
I would like to find a wiring harness kit sometime to add the lights.
I live in Indy as well, and while i have bought some tid bits from Southside, I prefer to drive up to Muncie and deal with Benson's. Very personable ppl, and have an outstanding Service Dept.
