Thanks Alain,

Any guidance on installation? I know it should be super-simple, but experience is a wonderful thing. No silicone/similar? Just screw it in?

I think the local indie bloke was talking in terms of our ambient temperature (average 32C), so very interested to know everyone's experience here.

Tire question(s):

Can anyone comment on the wear characteristics of the Metzeler ME880 260/40R18 ? I'm just wondering if, all other characteristics aside, paying up for the ME880 can be at least partially justified on the basis of longevity, (Considering this for future purchase).

What tire pressure seems to work best in a Dunlop Elite 3 250/40R18, the HD spec or the tire spec ? (Having this installed now).

I'm not an aggressive rider, (dragging foot-pegs etc.), I'm just looking to get reasonable mileage out of my next rear tire. My OE rear tire lasted 5,000 mi.

Thanx

I didn't install mine so I can't say much about it. But I did just take it off to have the tank painted and it was super easy to take off. I can't see it being hard at all to install.

Yep. I have yet to purchase bike bling from anywhere that didn't come with instructions on how to put it on.
