Yeah, I already have a SE super tuner on it and it had been on the dyno after the pipes and air cleaner were installed. The quote they gave me included another 3 hours on the dyno. Plus its the same guy doing all of it instead of someone not knowing what their doing. Everyone in the shop comes and asks him for advice including the service managers who were former techs so im pretty comfortable with his work. The warranty parts should be in today and they ordered the cams out of Texas today. Told it should be ready in about a week depending on how long it takes for the cams to come in. I'll have to post the results when I get them. Hopefully I get some good results with a dependable motor (unlike brand new)
Sending positive energy your way brother- really sucks but you'll come out ahead in the end with the upgrades.
BTW, they may need to order the .027 head gaskets so if you want to request that (which you should), let them know now. These are standard Cometic gaskets so it's no big deal to get them- but they'll use 040 if you don't say anything. To put it really simply, using the thinner gasket is somewhat similar to decking your heads or shaving the cylinders which tightens up the quench, resulting in a more efficient combustion, more hp/tq and better mileage. There is zero downside. .027 is ideal, .030 is still very good.
Did some number crunching- If you have your wrench raise the static compression (CR) to 10.5:1 and go with Woods TW-555 cams, you'll be an extremely happy camper. This cam would not do anything spectacular with stock compression of under 10:1, but will be a TQ beast with the 103 and 10.5:1 - TQ will come on hard in the 2200-up range. Plus you can further build out your motor later on and still make use of these cams.
I went with the TW-555s. Love them. 107 kit, head work, adjustable rods were installed at the same time. Haven't bothered to dyno the bike yet. I'm not too worried about the numbers. Seat of my pants tells me they pull like a bull.

Good to know, thanks for sharing. Do you know what they set your static compression at? Who did your head work? Only asking so the info is available here if others come looking.

I believe final compression was 10.5:1. Fuel moto did the head work.
I think youll leave alot on the table and will not be happy, without other work. Another story at 10.5 to 1 and headwork. I have talked to Tom woods and he recommended the tw7h as a bolt in on my bike. I wasn't feeling it.......Not that the 777 wouldn't work good, its listed as bolt in , but I know it will really shine with some help.

I ask this because this is what my mechanic recommended and did with a dyno tune.
Imo it runs good.
Maybe some port and polishing would be even better?
