Ok, that's what I came up with 90-100 rpm difference. Thanks for the part# S, in the earlier posts.
I figured it's a good not so expensive upgrade in the right direction with improving the gearing. that and I think the Sporty sprocket looks kinda cool.
What really needs to be done is swap the front pulley for a smaller 30T. that would give a final drive ratio of about 3.09, and may even be able to keep the same belt (increased size of rear sprocket and reduced size of front sprocket = wash). You'll be riding a few hundred rpm's higher in sixth, and first through 5th will be wickedly better. Will then be able to run a bit more advance on my tune maps due to less lug on motor, and will really come alive with cam upgrade.
got the ol lady backrest for the Breakout done and tested. came out ok, i don't mind it on there and it is satisfactory to the missus. I can literally take it off in 1 minute, but it is solid enough to push the bike with.
Here's some pics, of course...
I have a brushed silver "Willie G" metal emblem coming and will stick it on the back of the upright
Thanks- Personally I think a sissy bar looks like cr@p on the Breakout, but this one maybe looks a bit less cr@p. Took the missus for a spin last night and she gave it two thumbs up. That and I had added another 1/2" of gel foam to the seat, which she definitely noticed and said it was perfect. the pics of bike on previous page are with the foam added to rear seat as well.
So anyway as George Bush would say "Misshun Accomplished" ;p
Does anyone know if the HD spring solo seat would fit the BO?
What I usually do when trying to see if a different bike part might fit, is to look up the parts diagrams on one of the dealership websites. they will have exploded diagram views and if they look similar then chances are it will fit, or be close enough that a small bit of modification makes it work.
Quick update, Surdyke shipped the pulley and I will have it this Tuesday. Hope to have the time to put it on this next week along with the HD BCM security system.
