Looking for some opinions on a new headlight housing. I have one of the HD visor trim rings powdercoated black, which I don't mind but I'm not happy with how the finish turned out and have given up finding someone locally to redo it, I've also been looking at Headwinds housings, a local shop had one of the lower end US housings in stock so I mocked it up to see how it looks. I also did a photoshop of how the high end Headwinds would look, my only concern is that ones about an inch longer and the US version is already quite long. I definitely like the fit on these way better than the stock housing, much better design if you ask me.
The contrast cut one costs about $500 more than the one I mocked up today since I'm in Canada, but I'll pay it if I really like it more.

I'd say the second one, actually either one of the first two are nice. i don't like the contrast cut as it "stands out" too much. check out the ones from Primo as well.

Here ya go- any excuse to post gratuitous pics of the Big Dog is fine with me - note that the big ugly tach on bars, and head breather puke can on lower right side of motor was only there for breaking in the engine.
Really hard to catch the paint in photos- it is a deep black with candy pearl- in the sun it pops very 3-d on the paint with blue / silver crystals. in photos it just looks boring black.
The oil tank and dash strip on gas tank are real, hand-laid carbon fiber with 5 layers of gloss coat. came out sick!
It looks like there are some dealers who are selling Thunderbike stuff in the US. http://www.eurocomponentsusa.com/whe...p?id=66-72-333
It´t a bit hard to google, because this one totally avoids to mention TB, so you have to check for the names of the weels-series.
For a larger order I personally wouldn´t care that much about the 59 € shipping-costs.
Price for that single sided swing arm kit seems rather reasonable if it includes wheels and tires, pulley and brake components.
Or am I subconsciously trying to convince myself into buying it ???!! Lol

Are those Kellermann turn signals you got on the rear? I'd like to see some close-up pix of how you mounted them in the oval slots on the rear supports.

I'll take some pics in a little bit today. I have them on the front as well.
I mounted up that 2nd headlight and liked it quite a bit, however I am less than pleased with the finish quality on it, it's very hazy thin powder coat, nothing like the original gloss. It'll be going back tomorrow, I really liked the look of it however I don't think I'm willing to spend over $500 for the same headlight with quality finish, I think I'll just keep trying the powder coat shops to get that first piece done properly.
